it MUST have a valve to isolate it.


Same with a water line.


Look further down the line for it.

Yes all gas appliances must have an isolation valve and other than a free standing cooker must be plumbed in on solid. pipe ie on copper, screwed iron or similar.





Sorry You should not be installing this appliance if you are not qualified to do so (CORGI Reg.) Were you, you would know how to get around the problem. There is much more than just connecting the gas in the installation of a gas fire..
Are you talking about a water heater, gas fireplace, furnace or what. There is no such thing as a fire heater.





Anyway all the above need a separate shut off valve. If your not sure what you are doing please get a gas fitter as it is really easy to blow yourself, family, house and perhaps a couple of neighbours, all to hell just to save a buck or two. Its not worth it.
yes, you need an isolation valve like a pedestal gas tap. Any problems then it can be turned off at the tap instead of turning the gas off at the meter. Also tobe able to remove it for servicing.

She is a carrier of it. She can make other people in the hospital sick with it if they do not isolate her. She needs 3 negative cultures in like 3-6 months before they will not isolate her anymore. Just because she is a carrier doesn't mean she will end up getting sick with it.
