I have to draw a cover for someone isolated from society I was going to do a bird in a cage but it deplets more of the theme of trapnessWhat is an imagry/symbol that represents isolation/alienation?
You could have the caged bird surrounded by free birds that have their backs turned on the caged one? What is an imagry/symbol that represents isolation/alienation?
I'd have to say an island, or being alone in a desert

What is an imagry/symbol that represents isolation/alienation?
I have to draw a cover for someone isolated from society I was going to do a bird in a cage but it deplets more of the theme of trapnessWhat is an imagry/symbol that represents isolation/alienation?
You could just draw someone in a forlorn landscape... Or someone who's alone on a really small island out in the sea... Or someone standing somewhere (maybe a setting related to the book) and building a walls around her/him on all four sides. Or someone alone on top of a mountain. That could be a symbol for when you always want to win you often end up alone. Hope this helps! What is an imagry/symbol that represents isolation/alienation?
Looking at the world through a window.
The world is behind the isolated one, reflected (second-hand) in a mirror.
Someone alone in very long hallway with an openwork security gate bolted across the way, with things ';happening'; down at the other end, which we can't quite make out.
A party scene, with one person alone in an alcove or corner, and everyone else enjoying the party with their backs to him/her.

Where can I get a good pair of sound isolation earphones for cheap?
Yes. If you live around the California area and Texas where they have a electronics store called Fry's. I buy a lot of my hardware and accessories for my computer there for cheap. Check around the websites, Amazon, Ebay those things. Try the Fry's website. I also recommend Micro Center. I was able to purchase a great pair of noise cancelling headphones for 7 dollars.almay
How would you describe the language used in 'Shirley Valentine' that shows the feeling of isolation ?
Furthermore, how would you describe the language used in the play through the use of Dramatic devices (ie. use of Voice Over, flash backs, ect)?
Thanks in advance! How would you describe the language used in 'Shirley Valentine' that shows the feeling of isolation ?
The feeling of isolation is talking to a wall and a microwave, she never saw anyone from one day to the next and in desperation she started talking to the wall and other kitchen appliances. When her husband came home from work all he wanted to do was eat and then go to sleep after a days work, not a lot of stimulation there. Even his meals had to be ready at a certain time and they had to be set meals for set days. Shirley Valentine was lonely and she had dreams and no one seemed to be bothered that she was alone.
Obviously I saw the film and I enjoyed it. I did like the flash backs etc it added to the film, in some films this did not work but in Shirley Valentine it worked wonderfully. How would you describe the language used in 'Shirley Valentine' that shows the feeling of isolation ?
I would say it lends itself to being like a fly on the wall documentary...This has nothing to do with language but you could use it somewhere. I think the use of language would be described as monologue!

Which is worse isolation or being abused?
Which is worse being by yourself for many years or being abused, raped, tortured, and humiliated by everyone around you for many years?Which is worse isolation or being abused?
Being abused.
There are several different ways to be abused.
And you can become traumatized in many ways.
Where to isolation you just have to have a strong mind and will.Which is worse isolation or being abused?
I'll take isolation any day. I think that they both go hand and hand in a sense. The reason I say that is because the abuser makes you not think too highly of yourself. Then you have no self esteem because of the physical and verbal abuse. Then the isolation comes in because you don't feel you should be around anyone and stay to yourself. If you are going through this you need to get help. Get out of there as soon as possible. Good luck.
Being isolated- when you are abused you'll probably develop some emotions such as anger or sadness but if you are isolated you'll end up an empty, unfeeling shell that if your lucky you'll have negative feelings.
but then again if you are being abused by everyone as said in your question, then i guess it doesn't really make any difference because you are isolated in some way in each situation.
just my opinion %26lt;3
Both are horrible to go through and upsetting, no doubt about that. Also, a person experiencing either can develop trusting problems.
I can't really decide which is worse =/
Isolation Cons:
-Distrustful
-Lack of social skills
-Depression
Abuse Cons:
-Distrustful
-Paranoia
-Lowering of self-esteem
just because one person is mean you don't need to be on you own, my ex-husband was a wife beater and broke my hand wrist and arm and used me as a punch bag on many occasions, i felt like that for a long time and have been on my own for 7 years and last year i got together with the most fantastic man who is 20 years my senior and i love him with all my heart. the right people will come along - don't give up - i nearly did but it takes along time to trust again
I like being by myself..as in, no one around. If I was the last man on earth, I'd be a lot happier than I am today. I don't want to be raped, I don't want my eyeballs drilled with power tools, and I don't want to have pictures of me taking a dump spread across the internet.
Again.
It depends on the level that both are going towards. However, isolation does very, very strange things to people. People go into isolation in prisons completely healthy for example and end up with all types of different mental disorders.
Very sad question- if this is you than I feel it is time to talk to someone about what is happening. Either is not a healthy outcome. Please don't think you are alone- there is help out there just reach out and talk to someone you may trust.
Well if your referring to jail then perhaps with the right care and treatment
it's a better position to-be in. Usefully people who find themselves in jail come from a violent upbringing.
Then again why the serious question?
I'll take the isolation any time. One can find ways to enjoy even that but there is no way to escape abuse and the after affects.
Isolation is the worst form of torture for human beings because, we need human contact to survive.
Being abused is worse. Loneliness can be overcome. Abuse messes you up bad.
I've been through both abuse AND isolation...I'll take isolation any day.
There is alot more worse things in this world than being alone.
being by yourself!

abuse is far worse.

An island. The water around it can be either calm or stormy, depending on the mood you want. Calm would be more plain, but if you have an island surrounded by a storm, it's like a tiny little isolated island in the middle of a raging storm, could be more symbolic...
Draw someone adrift on an iceberg. Put the person in normal clothes, no parka or winter wear. That way, you'll drive home the point that the person is out-of-sync as well.

How can a person end his isolation ?
Where do You humans go , what do You do ?How can a person end his isolation ?
Volunteer as a 4-H leader, assist other shut-ins, volunteer at an animal shelter, take a class in anything.
Start by going out your door and talking to the first neighbor you encounter. Do something nice for all your neighbors. How can a person end his isolation ?
Find a church-take some college courses and get into
at least one study group-volunteer at a hospital. They're
always looking for people to help...
See if there is a mission someplace that provides food
for poor people and find out when you can give it to them!
strip club, YAY TITTIES AND BEER!

How do you deal with isolation without any transportation?
You have no way to get somewhere? then you just do other things for entertainment or bargain with someone to come and get you to take you places. that is about all you can do.

4. click on entire image and scroll down to painted region
5. paint what you want black and white or check invert and paint what you want colored. Is there a link for a picture editing website with color isolation?
try Picnik.com. not sure if it has that specifically, but I think you can do it on there.

How can two seemingly unrelated species that live in isolation from each other evolve into identical forms?
They don't evolve into identical forms, but can be strikingly similar. This is because different lineages can be subjected to very similar survival pressures, and that can give rise to very similar solutions. It's known as convergence. How can two seemingly unrelated species that live in isolation from each other evolve into identical forms?
I'd say the short answer is they can't but do you have any examples?
Species can develop similar morphology - for example sharks, crocodiles, icthiosaurs and cetaceans have shown similarity in shape at some points in the past. Some shapes are just successful enough for different species to develop them. Environmental pressure is a key factor here. But in all of these cases, they're not [exactly] the same, just similar. How can two seemingly unrelated species that live in isolation from each other evolve into identical forms?
Because the same adaptations help them survive, such as long noses for both dogs and thylacines. The adaptations result in superficial similarities. Consider that the environments are probably similar, such as forests, grasslands, prey animals of a certain size etc. It seems logical that similar adaptations would be favoured.
The first four answers are exactly correct. Unrelated species can evolve into *similar* forms, but not identical. Sometimes form is dictated quite strongly by environment ... an aquatic environment will produce the same shape in sharks and dolphins ... but the lateral orientation and up-and-down movement of dolphin flukes compared to the vertical orientation and side-to-side movement of shark tails show that their respective tails evolved from different materials.
Convergent evolution creates analogous structures. These are changes in organisms with different ancestors, but the structures appear similar. The North American cactus and Euphorbiaceae (found in Africa) would be an example - similar but not identical because of different ancestry. As the answerers above me have already said, the similarity occurs because the species live in similar environments and have evolved similar charactersitics.
Do you know about inbreeding and outbreding? Two organisms of unrelated species can't breed in between(outbreeding). So there won't be any chromosomal changes leading to an improved variety.Hence they will simply carry their own species' characters.

What does Rama the cama story tells about the genetic changes required for irreversible reproductive isolation?
what is reversible genetic isolation actually? What does Rama the cama story tells about the genetic changes required for irreversible reproductive isolation?
An example of reversible genetic isolation would be two populations separated by a flooded river, which they cannot cross to interbreed. If the flooding subsides, the populations once again may interbreed freely.

I have realised that I spent a large part of teenage years in depression and isolation. Anyone else had this?
This realisation has helped to recover from my addictive patterns and behaviours and to understand why I still have days/ moments which are very very dark and sad.I have realised that I spent a large part of teenage years in depression and isolation. Anyone else had this?
try depressionforums.org they also have a younger section. American web sites i find better as they talk more and have been running longer. If you were depressed and isolated as a teenager, chances are its gonna be with you, hanging around for a lot longer. honestly as a depressive I have no real notion of time or space and before you know it life passes you by.
Until now with the use of the internet and drugs i have started to take control and managed my depression realising i am different to other people. I cannot get drunk when i want, i cannot eat chocolate when i want etc i must be disciplined in my approach to most things in life and control pattens, its the only way. treat your depression like rehab, realise the triggers, keep a mood diary and get involved in talking on the internet, look up the possibility of drugs and work with your doctor, doctors hate giving antidepressants to stupid people so talk to him/her and go on from there. good luck.I have realised that I spent a large part of teenage years in depression and isolation. if you ha vent all ready see your doc i know about this through bitter experience which is still ongoing so please get advice from a professional good luck
hi my sister when i was younge has had same thing:)
yes i am experiencing that right now. Just hold on Because after every storm the sun comes out
I'm sure there are many people like you. However, most people don't want to admit it. It takes guts to admit what your admitting. People want to think that there perfect and that it's not really happening to them.
Yeah, i had that during college =(
yes, I did not seek help for 10 more years. I finally did and now its getting better.
im 31 and went through very dark time in highschool. so much sadness and anxiety. i got better but lately ive been in this funk. i dont have any friends , i hate my job and my family is all far away. i only have my boyfirend of 6 months and im starting to get scared that i will lose him to even though my family would never approve of him if they knew who he was. uggghhhh therr will be better days. hang in there.
you, me and half the world was miserable as a teenager. my world grew even darker afterwards since it has builbeen building up bit by bit for many years, and came to a peak, which i hope i have overcome, and i'm trying to build it back up and start from scratch now ;)
I felt like this until I was 22, from being about 11. At the time I just didn't realise, its only now that I look back and think that crying myself to sleep every night and feeling like I couldn't face the world isn't normal. I never got help, because I didn't think I deserved it, and I hated myself too much to ask. I know the reasons for it now, and have worked through them as an adult. Now I'm 27 and happier and more stable than I've ever been, but it took a huge break from my then cycle to get this far. I basically started again somewhere new. I was forced to it after leaving an emotionally abusive relationship. but its the best thing I ever did. Now I have self belief and know that I have the strength to do it all again if I had to. F*cking long road to get there though!
A lot of people go throught that. Some worse than others. But you know that and it is your choice to change it. I did. My father tried to kill my mom and I found her and I went through a point in my life where I didn't want to leave her side and then when he tried to talk to me after he got out of jail I went through a big depression and it took me years to get back to who I was. A lot of people go through really hard times and when you are so young you don't know how to deal with it. So honey you are not alone. Just know that and do all that you can to live a full and happy life. I still have days where all I want to do is cry and its hard to understand but I know it has a lot to do with what happend but thats noramal. You can't just complety change it. You can't change the past but you can improve your future! Good luck to you!
Oh yeah.
High school was the worst time of my life. I don't even think about it anymore.
I hated it the entire time.

yes for a certain time in my life. Now I do my best to fight it and deal with things the best way I can. Isolation is such a bad thing.
I did to a certain extent but pretty much everyone felt that way in high school. Teenage years are kind of strange and it is best just to get them over with. Many people feel the same way as you did many of them just can't admit it as you just did.
i would be interested to knwo why you think this isolation lead to addictive behaviour?
the reason being i was quite isolated as teenager and prob quite depressed as well and i do have trouble addictive behaviour
I was the same. Hated school. It was like an open prison. Attendance was compulsory, the teachers were like prison guards and the detainees were the most vulgar and sadistic little so n so's one could imagine.
So if you felt depressed during the whole thing who can blame you.
Many of us then got our qualifications at College to make up for 4 wasted years in the detention camp.
Am going through it right now an am 31 i have nearly totally with drawn form life an people i am messed up
Well I'm a manic depressant so I feel like that all the time really and I'm 13.
you serious??

How is isolation intercepted as it passes through the atmosphere?
In fact, the atmosphere is transparent to the incident solar radiation(insolation) and is not directly heated by it.The insolation is a short-wave radiation which atmosphere cannot absorb. So, the insolation passes through the atmosphere without actually heating it but heats the earth's surface which re-radiates it back as long-wave radiation which the atmosphere readily absorbs.
But the ultra-violet part of the insolation is absorbed by the ozone layer in the stratosphere.
So, most of the insolation(except UV rays) is not intecepted by the atmosphere and the atmosphere simply allows it to heat the earth's surface first. How is isolation intercepted as it passes through the atmosphere?
I don't understand. Do you perhaps mean insolation?
If you mean insolation, then below is my answer:
As the solar energy received at the top of the atmosphere continues toward Earth's surface, various wavelengths are selectively transmitted, reflected (scattered), or absorbed by the atmosphere, clouds, and then ground and water surfaces.

Is an isolation valve a suitbale replacement for a stopcock?
Due to the odd loaction of my mainswater stopcock which is basicaly in a door entrace way, I would like to change the stopcock for somthing less protruding like an isolating valve. This would then alow the piping and valve to be boxed in leaving a small hole for a screw driver.
I am also wanting to fit as an extra a surestop water isolating valve. Is an isolation valve a suitbale replacement for a stopcock?
No an isolation valve is not a suitable replacement for a stopcock, the bore of the isolation valve is much smaller than that of a stopcock.
If you are installing a Surestop valve (which are excellent by the way), why not change the angle of the handle on the stopcock, i.e. if the stopcock handle is horizontal, move it so it is vertical. It will protrude less and can be boxed in.
Hope this helpsIs an isolation valve a suitbale replacement for a stopcock?
I think you are better off to move the valve away from the entrance.
the council recently gave me a new bathroom suite and gave an isolator switch in kitchen - didn't have a clue what it was but they said it was an emergency shut of valve an only to use it if i cant turn off the stopcock.
i would suggest you leave the stopcock where it is ..but you can allways fit another valve further along the line and use that as an off and on valve
Turn the stopcock round so it's flat against the wall and then fit a new one in a more convenient position you can then box it in and also leave an easy to open access panel so you can turn the new stopcock off/on

How many of us who research spychic phenomena feel guilty of selfishness, and isolation?
Not at all. I enjoy discovery, and the unusual events in my life have awakened a drive to find out more. I feel like Thomas Edison before he discovered something--someone's gonna do it, why not me? No one who knows me would scoff, because I take a level-headed, scientific approach to life, and these 'psychic' events are clues to discovery. Biologists are 'talking' to animals, and ghosts are a form of life of sorts--hey, I'm not trying to teach sign language to rocks, now. I also have a religious bent, and I'm trying to tie the metaphysics in with the reality of God. Life is more amazing than a test tube. The most important thing a 'psychic researcher' can do is stay right with God, and not step too close to Satan. The safest path is to avoid research altogether, but I'm convinced that I can benefit our knowledge of the world without being selfish, thoughtless and offending the Almighty. Satan does exist, but not every ghost is evil. There are things to be learned, and if I can help in some small measure, so be it. If you wish to peek a few chapters ahead in life, here's some facts that I learned the hard, real, right way: There is more spirit to life than so-called reality. Our senses are limited for life on this plane, but open nicely in the next. There is a God and a Satan, as well as Heaven and Hell. To deny or refute this is blasphemy, and will cost your life. To not know God is to commit spiritual suicide. Don't do that. Once your eyes are open to the next life, the possibilities seem endless, especially if you're focused on the eternal and not the 'here and now'. Life isn't about making money or keeping up with the Joneses--it's about living right with God for Eternity--don't blow it! The Bible is right. Take a few months to read it. You'll thank yourself. Forever. How many of us who research spychic phenomena feel guilty of selfishness, and isolation?
When the choices we make about how to live our lives are conscious and deliberate there shouldn't be any excuse for any feelings of guilt. How many of us who research spychic phenomena feel guilty of selfishness, and isolation?
Well if your spying on chicks you should feel guilty. Perv!
You shouldn't have any negative feelings just because you're researching something. Research is how we all learn and advance. Make sure bring as few beliefs / disbeliefs as possible with you when you conduct your research, and look for evidence.
.
I sometimes feel isolation because people tend to take light of it and sometimes make fun.
but I basically dont care what they think.
HUH? I don't get it. Selfish how? Isolated how?
You can do the same thing with anything...even going to church too much. There are many times in the past when I wish I had stopped being on the computer and been with my dog more who was dieing . (She had heart worms..and she was dieing for a couple of years.) I did everything I could for her and took her in the car and tried to let her do fun things...still..I remember a time when I was on the computer and she came over to me..and I petted her..but didn't get off the computer. Now I wish I had. I remember that look in her eyes. I didn't think it was any different from watching tv..but somehow I think it is. Even the dogs I have now will come over and put their heads on the keyboard and won't let me type. So I have to stop and give them attention. I think they really do read our minds sometimes and know we have our minds on other people ..not them.
If you see that these paranormal things are interfering with family relationships...then stop doing it. It's not worth it.
Edit..John S. Huh?? Who are you talking to?? lol I do agree. with you....no one should spy on us chicks!
I have found researching paranormal phenonemen, i have met plenty of nice people from here..some strange, but not all of them...I dont feel isolation at all...and i certainly dont feel guilty....

Does social networking sites provide a sense of community or cause social isolation?
I am doing an essay for media studies and i want to know what you all think about social networking sites. Do you think they are good or bad?
Provide personal experiences if you wish, i just basically want to know do you think sites such as facebook etc are bringing us all together or isolating us all because we are sat on our own computer in our rooms.
Please reply thanks xDoes social networking sites provide a sense of community or cause social isolation?
I am a disabled person who is stuck in bed for long hours at a time.A few months ago a friend of mine got me involved with Face book, since i joined facebook it has opened a whole new world to me.I am now in contact with family members i have not seen in a lot of years,2 of them just over 30 years.Facebook has opened up a whole new world to me,besides the contact with family members theres games etc.I dont feel like i am alone anymore when i am on facebook.Unfortunately at present i am having problems with facebook,i have had 4 warnings and been blocked from commenting on news feed. All i have done is wish friends happy birthday, say hi to my niece and respond to request for help for a game called vampire wars. They have threatened to permanently delete my account,I wish they would sort those out that use fowl language etc on the news feed..The downside of it for me is losing my facebook account for nothing, and losing contact with my family..hope this helps you.AlanDoes social networking sites provide a sense of community or cause social isolation?
Made loads of new friends on my MySpace pages http://myspace.com/2875jim and http://myspace.com/jimobasa
I am 54 and met my wife (51) on MySpace
It is only teens who misuse MySpace to harass, bully or threaten each other thereby getting MySpace a bad press and causing concern in the minds of parents when their kids begin asking if they can have a MySpace

What is noise isolation in some earbuds?
I work in a very noisy enviroment, if I use one of this earbuds would they protect me from this noise? or what do they do? Can I listen to music and at the same time cancel all the external noise? or if I use them with out listening to music it would block all the external sound?, any help will be apreciated. What is noise isolation in some earbuds?
Noise isolation is supposed to be how well the headphone filter out outside/background noise, so it might possibly block out some of the external noise if they are a really good quality set, but probably not as much as it would if you were actually listening to something like music with them, depending on just how ';loud'; your work place is.What is noise isolation in some earbuds?
noise isolation buds are designed to block out outside noise. These buds can cause ear dammage through long term use. Deafness can also occor.
your best bet for blocking out outside noise while at work is wearing ear plugs, like the foam kind that can be bought at the local drug store.
Noise isolation means it blocks out sound from the outside. It's basically soundproofing your ears.

What can be the ultimate effect of reproductive isolation?
A population that is isolated will see a higher incidence of mutation, which can lead to new species, or very unique adaptations.
Study the animals of island populations, and you'll see the effects of isolation. Some of the most rare species come from islands, where the inbreeding forced a genetic shift due to a mutation, evolving an entirely new species. What can be the ultimate effect of reproductive isolation?

Why we use PNP power transistor in Isolation circuit?
The signal from optocoupler is first given to PNP power transistor
before giving it to Relay. Why is it so?Why we use PNP power transistor in Isolation circuit?
The PNP transistor increases the current to enough to drive the relay. The signal to the transistor would not be able to drive relay without the PNP to boost it.

Which Colony Isolation Method should be used on Liquid Culture?
*If you were starting with a liquid culture, which method would you choose to isolate microorganisms and why?
Is the answer to this streak plate because allows isolation of colonies in the 4th quadrant. Or can you not perfrom streak plate technique on liquid cultures. Instead should I put you used spread plate technique then use streak plate technique after the spread plate has been incubated and growth has occured. Then use streak plate on that group?

Do Most mathematicians work with other mathematians or would they rather work in isolation?
they have the choice if they want to work, however, in mathematics, you don't need a lot of talk, what you need is a lot introspection and deep thinking, which you cannot accomplish if in the presence of another person. ^_^Do Most mathematicians work with other mathematians or would they rather work in isolation?

How do Jehovah's witnesses manage to look at Acts Chapter 15 in isolation?
They ban transfusion on account of two or three verses in Acts chapter 15.Do they read Matthew 15:vs11, I Corinthians 8, Acts 10:vs14and 15,ITim 4:vs3,4,5.
Why do they ignore Johns Gospel Chapters 14,15,16 which make it obvious that the Holy Spirit is a person. How do Jehovah's witnesses manage to look at Acts Chapter 15 in isolation?
We do not look at any part of the Bible in isolation.
That is why we are not duped into believing the lie that God is 3-in-1 like my hair shampoo.
And BTW- we could use the same argument against you-
Matthew 15:vs11 is just ONE verse out of Matthew Chapter 15.
Acts 10:vs14,15 is just TWO verses out of Acts Chapter 10.
1 Tim 4:vs3,4,5 is just THREE verses out of 1 Timothy Chapter 4.
See?
I always wanted to use this phrase- tu quoque.
Thanks for the opportunity.
I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses. How do Jehovah's witnesses manage to look at Acts Chapter 15 in isolation?
Actually, there are several passages in the Bible that condemn the consumption of blood.:
Acts 15:28, 29
Genesis 9:4
Leviticus 7:26
Leviticus 17:10-14
Leviticus 19:
Deuteronomy 12:16, 23-25
1 Samuel 14:33
It is clear that God forbids the misuse of blood.
As far as the holy spirit goes, the reason the holy spirit is referred to as ';he'; in John 16 is because the word ';helper'; in the Greek lanuage is masculine. It would only make sense that John would use proper grammer and asign the masculine pronoun ';he'; to ';helper';. In the same way, in Spanish, ';libro'; (book) is masculine, but that doesn't make it a person.
It seems to me that there is limited value in using Biblical texts to show Jehovah's Witnesses their error since they have been indoctrinated by the Watchtower Organisation and can do nothing outside of the Watchtower's say so.
In that they are enslaved by that Organisation which also teaches and warns them that any who speak differently from them is of Satan or is an attack against God.
Clearly they are dupes of the Organisation and attempts to show them the truth tends to strengthen them in their loyalty and bondage to the Watchtower.
In a manner of speaking the Watchtower has substituted itself for the role of the Holy Spirit Who they consequently have to deny.
We can see that the Watchtower has made numerous prophecies that have not come true and also that they have made numerous contradictions in their teaching.
The Watchtower cannot therefore be a prophet of God nor be God's channel of truth on Earth as Deuteronomy 18 clearly teaches.
I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
If they can be shown that the Watchtower has in fact made prophecies that have not come true and that it has in fact contradicted itself in its teaching - as in fact it clearly has - then there is hope that the Jehovah's Witness might be brought to see the truth.
The Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian since they do not have the Spirit of Christ indwelling and in fact deny Him as your question highlights.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
How many times does the Bible mention Adultery?Does that mean that it is not valid? The law was given to the Israelites as a protection, over 600 laws were given. You can not pick and choose if you believe in Go'ds commandment but you have to trust in him that it is for your own good. All the consequences By not obeying his law brought death to millions of people and more to come. How can we argue with God's decision went he is the Creator of every living cell on earth? We have a brochure that explain are stand and it is base on the Bible if you make research and if you are truly interested in the subject then you can order the brochure';How can blood save your life?'; WWW.Watchtower.org.Then you will have more knowledge on the subject.Hope that was help full to you.
Jehovah's Witnesses deny most of the basic doctrines of Christianity. Former Witnesses point out several basic denials:
They claim:
1. Jesus Christ is not God. Rather, he is Michael the archangel.
2. The Holy Spirit is not a person, but an ';active force.'; J.W.'s are unitarians, denying the Trinity.
3. When you're dead, you're dead. Man has no eternal soul, any more than animals.
4. Jesus Christ was not raised bodily from the grave, but was recreated as a new ';spirit body.';
5. Jesus returned invisibly in 1914. There is no ';visible coming'; planned in the future.
6. There is no hell. Just like animals, when we die, it is over.
7. Only 144,000 people achieve heaven. The rest, faithful Witnesses who have died, will be recreated on earth during the kingdom of the ';New World.';
Focusing on the Old Testament, their system is a legalistic one. They forbid blood transfusions (they say that is eating blood). They also consider any salute to a flag as worship of that flag, and therefore prohibited. They don't vote, hold public office or serve in the military.
Consumed with preparing for a ';New World,'; they know nothing of ';New Life'; in Jesus Christ.
Shame ain't it?
Just the same as Proverbs 1:20-33 makes it obvious that wisdom is really a person? It calls wisdom ';she';.
What none of the Gospels ever says, nor any other part of the Bible, is that holy spirit is God at all. Why do you say it?
Best regards,
Michael
Have you never lost something and found it where you looked before?
The eyes don't see something until the brain acknowledges it is there.
So you only see what you want to see no matter what logic or other people tell you.
Hello. I am not a Jehovah witness, but In Acts 15 do not talk about transfusion they talk about circumcised according to the law of moses. The fore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension they disputed. Please go back and check your bible.
How is the catholic church removes the 2nd commandment?
The OT law prohibited not only the eating of blood, but also the eating of many kinds of meat, such as pork and shellfish. These foods are not evil in themselves. God simply prohibited them as a way of instructing the Israelites on religious matters: the need to be spiritually clean; that God is the author of all life; and that our redemption would be accomplished by the shedding of blood. In the NT, we have the fullness of God's Revelation. He now speaks to us directly rather than catechizing us through the symobos of the OT. (see Hebrews 1:1-2).
How do we explain the prohibition of blood in Acts 15? Although the OT Covenant was no longer in effect, the early Church realized how difficult it was for Jewish Christians to abandon the old precepts. The church also recognized that after 1300 years of avoiding certain foods because of the OT Law, these foods were norepulsivee through cultural conditioning. The early Church made a prudent pastoral decision: to allow the Jewish Christians to maintain, purely as disciplines, those parts of the OT Law that could be reconciled with the NT. So while animalsacrificess and the OTpriesthoodd could not be continued, circumcision and the dietary laws were allowed as long as they were notpractisedd as if they were required by the NT Covenant.
The Council of Jerusalem, described in Acts 15, was called to deal with the Judaizers. These were Jewish Christians who insisted that Gentile converts must keep both the OT and NT laws. The council made it clear that Christians were not bound to the OT ceremonial law. Neither could the Jewish Christians impose their disciplines(such as ciurcumcision and dietary laws) on the Gentile converts.
However, the council did impose three dietary restrcitions on the Gentiles: they were not to eat blood, strangled animals, or food offered to idols. These restrictions were established becaues of two concerns: (1) Jewish Christians found these foods revolting, and the early Church wanted both Jewish and Gentile Christians to join in the Christian apage (love ) meals; (2) these food were often associated with pagan rituals.
Once these concerns no longer existed, the early Church lifted the restrictions. In 1 Corth 10, St. Paul tells the Christians not to be concerned if some of the food served to them had been offered to idols. Only if someone makes an issue of it are they to avoid food sacrificed to idols so as not to scandalize those with weak consciences. This shows that these three dietary laws were only regulations that could be modified or even discarded as condtions changed. Today, JW's have no problems buying regular meat at the supermarket; yet this meat contains blood! Orthodox Jews will only buy kosher meat that was specially processed to remove the blood.
Christians understand that the OT dietary laws are no longer in effect, and that the dietary restructions of Acts 15 were discarded once they no longer served a purpose. Christians should have no concerns today about eating rare steaks or strangled chickens. Since JWs eat blood in their meats( they don't buy kosher meats), their refusal to accept blood transfustion is inconsistent as well as unbiblical. The JWs used to forbid vaccinations and organ transplants, but now they allow bloth. JWs may someday lift their restrirctions on blood transfusions as well.
There are no hard and fast rules where the bible is concerned and there is no proof that it's contents are true. It's only a belief no matter what reigion you are.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
4. Jesus Christ was not raised bodily from the grave, but was recreated as a new ';spirit body.';
5. Jesus returned invisibly in 1914. There is no ';visible coming'; planned in the future.
6. There is no hell. Just like animals, when we die, it is over.
7. Only 144,000 people achieve heaven. The rest, faithful Witnesses who have died, will be recreated on earth during the kingdom of the ';New World.';
Focusing on the Old Testament, their system is a legalistic one.

How can a person live a normal and sane life in complete Isolation ?
The way we arrive makes this hard to do. Since we all require parents or care giver's during our early years you would never actually be in total isolation until later in life. As we mature your survival requires that you interact with others. Since we aren't able to reproduce without another, nature would discourage this.
Thus Nature selection would declare this UN-NORMAL.
Sanity is just a label a consensus of people came up with for behavior. What's sane in New York, may be considered INSANE elsewhere.
Now Existence is something totally Different. How can a person live a normal and sane life in complete Isolation ?
impossible! How can a person live a normal and sane life in complete Isolation ?
Cant....but remember there is a thin line between insane and genius and they play hopscotch allot. Let the leaves fall where they may and we might get something good out of that person.
If shipwrecked on an island or similar circumstance, then by keeping busy focusing on finding food and water, building and maintaining a shelter ... building and maintaining a fire.
finding some source of recreation...and staying in a positive frame of mind.
Assuming that complete isolation means no tv, no radio or newspapers, no contact with the world in any form at all, I'm not sure if they can. Humans have a basic need for companionship and communication, so after an amount of time without these needs being met, the average person will begin to suffer psychological issues.
People can form close bonds with inanimate objects which become their ';friends';. Just think of Tom Hanks and Wilson in ';Castaway';, but it's no real subsitute for the real thing.
Normal, NO. Sane, Yes.
Normal is really a comparison to a control group. Since a majority of people have a tendency to socialize with other people, then it WOULDN'T be normal.
As for sanity, that would depend on how you would relate to solitude. Many people like some solitude from time to time. Being totally isolated for long periods of time would be stressful to many people. (Especially by people who enjoy socializing.)

They cannot. In Japan this has become something of a social problem. The following is a selection from an entry in Wikipedia: 'Hikikomori (ひきこもり or 引き篭り lit. ';pulling away, being confined,'; i.e., ';acute social withdrawal';) is a Japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive adolescents and young adults who have chosen to withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement due to various personal and social factors in their lives. The term ';hikikomori'; refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general as well as to individuals belonging to this societal group.'

Is it safe if I run the security camera cable power, video and audio wire inside the drywall with isolation?
I have a security camera with all in one cable power, video and audio and the adapter says out put 12v. I'd like to run around the houseWhat kind of cable should I used to be safed? (not fired)Please adviseIs it safe if I run the security camera cable power, video and audio wire inside the drywall with isolation?
It should be as long as you get UL rated cable. This means the wire is insured not to start a fire. I know of a place you can get wire that is UL rated. The company is called Security Cameras Direct. They have siamese wire. This is RG59 coax with 18/2 wire attached to it. This allow you to have 1 cable for video and power. See the link below. Is it safe if I run the security camera cable power, video and audio wire inside the drywall with isolation?
I do not have the electrical code book, but I don't see how it could be a violation to run 12 volts at low amperage along with a couple of signal wires inside drywall.

What effect does long periods of isolation have on humans' psychological state?
leads to anger depression and a hatred towards others and suicidal thoughts. oh and a lack of trust issues. What effect does long periods of isolation have on humans' psychological state?
I kinda like that one above grave diggers...It is very true...i've been that lonely...I've just come to accept myself as a crazy person because I'm only getting crazier...I think people like me should probably get locked away, but I think I just more sleep...OH WELL F/cuk it i'm not dwelling on it anymore... I'm going to bed....What effect does long periods of isolation have on humans' psychological state?
Depression, mood swings, despair, etc...
loneliness which causes depression which causes either halusinations or even suicide depending on the person
Quickblur's answer makes me uncomfortable. I don't wish to explain why.
A certain amount of aloneness can bring mystical insights, spiritual breakthroughs. Isolating oneself for short periods of meditation can produce long-term positiveeffects.
Anxiety, psychosis, neurosis, OCD, hallucination, depression, suicidal tendencies
All the answers here are so true and this takes place on a daily basis in the prisons around our nation and the world for that matter. Locking someone up for 23 hours aday and not letting them be part of the social population is so cruel. They after all are humans too. It can effect people in so many terrible ways we can not fathom.
One begins to self absorb - get into their own heads with its own negative seeds, and CONTINUED isolation will serve to feed these seeds.
Th isolated person will only see others life in their false portrayals behind false smiles only serving to compound their growing beliefs that our own lives are so unworthy.
One needs to get out and see the reality that the problems are infact majority not the monitory.
I KNOW . . VERT EASY TO SAY . . FAR MORE DIFICULT TO DO.
They start to get withdrawn and sometimes talk to themselves and rock back and forth.
They did an experiment on monkeys keeping them in isolation and they were really messed up, especially if it was during their development period. When they reintroduced them to other monkeys they would get bullied and would sit alone in a corner and rock.
Then they artificially impregnated the isolated monkeys and they were really bad parents who would either ignore or kill their kids.
Kinda sad, really.
The psychologiacal effects manifest in physical form-
They literaly begin to die from the inside out.

How can i get rid of my loneliness? i moved to a big city but still dying out of isolation. any advice?
well, first, i thought that what happends when you are new to a place and then you start making friends that what always happened to me. but i still have no people to talk to.
i know i have great social skills and have been very popular but here i am employed with no people of my age who i can hang out with.
do you have any advice for me? thanks a lot every one for reading this. How can i get rid of my loneliness? i moved to a big city but still dying out of isolation. any advice?
Depression is manifested both physically and emotionally. The classic physical signs of depression are headaches, fatigue, digestive problems, hyperactivity, sleeping disorders, loss of concentration, and distorted eating patterns.
Chemicals imbalances in the brain can also be either the cause or effect of depression. Dopamine is the chemical that produces anxiety, stress, nervousness, and aggression. When the level of dopamine is ELEVATED, a person may develop feelings of insecurity, paranoia, and fear. Serotonin is another important chemical in the brain that can affect a person's mental well-being.
A person with LOW serotonin levels displays mood swings, and some sort of compulsion, such as alcoholism, overeating, or being a workaholic, perfectionist, or procrastinator.
Best ways to beat depression is Diet, Exercise, Supplements or Therapy.
Its essential to get the B-complex vitamins, since they work together to balance proper brain functioning.
Fatty acids, such Omega-6, Omega-3.
Magnesium and herbal extracts such:
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum in Latin) is a long-living plant with yellow flowers. It contains many chemical compounds. Some are believed to be the active ingredients that produce the herb's effects, including the compounds hypericin and hyperforin.

The thing is we can never be fully satisfied with mundane relationships. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We have to reconnect to He whom which is seated in the core of our hearts. Chanting the maha mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from illusion and suffering) can reconnect us immediately. Gods name is nondifferent then He Himself. go to krishnaculture. for complete details also stephen-knapp read e-book the Key to real Happiness (very enlivening) we are never alone and when one reconnects to our eternal Friend we are satisfied and happy.
Smile.
People will be more inclined to talk with you and like you if you smile. Smiling attracts like a magnet.
Another trick. When you feel lonely, close your eyes and picture yourself as a magnet. Open your eyes, look around you, and see yourself attracting interest, popularity, and interaction. Especially, try to visualisse this and feel this when you are around people.
Lonliness is a state of mind. No matter where you live it's up to you to try not to feel that way. I agree with the other posters. Go out and DO some stuff. If your time is meaningfully occupied you'll never be lonely. Even if you're all alone.
Loneliness, like sadness, is largely a state of mind. Are you walking around your place saying to yourself ';oh..I'm so lonely...'; If you are, catch that moment when you are telling yourself that, and tell yourself something positive: ';I'm strong .. I can do this';, or ';I' ll have more friends soon than I can have time for!';
Next; get out and meet some people; any store will do. If they're all closed, just go for a walk. Fresh air and good food will help too.
Take up a hobby where you can meet people, or take classes at your local community college.
Living in a big city is a stressful life. Big city is cold place, where people compete to make money. Unless you are in the elementary, junior high or high school, people don't really want to make friends in the big city. They might have few acquaintances, but not real close friends that'd help one out no matter what. (unless they met them in school). I live in a big city and most of the friends that I have are my former high school friends. If you have great conversation skills you should be able to adjust and make some friends, but it will be more difficult to do so in a big city.
Try to do Volunteer work and church. You will meet nice people that way and helping your self as well
adopt yourself to the new place and new situation.sooner than later you will be rid of your loneliness
go out and meet people. But, don't do it at church.

Lonliness is a state of mind. No matter where you live it's up to you to try not to feel that way. I agree with the other posters. Go out and DO some stuff. If your time is meaningfully occupied you'll never be lonely. Even if you're all alone.
Loneliness, like sadness, is largely a state of mind. Are you walking around your place saying to yourself ';oh..I'm so lonely...'; If you are, catch that moment when you are telling yourself that, and tell yourself something positive: ';I'm strong .. I can do this';, or ';I' ll have more friends soon than I can have time for!';
Next; get out and meet some people; any store will do.
Join my small business group or I will be able to find you someone to speak with on the computer.
How do you do colour isolation?
One of my classmates, for instance, took a picture of his girlfriend in her prom dress, and the whole picture was black and white except for her dress and the pink tones of her skin and lips.
So, how does this work? Is it something to do with the camera, or add-ons/accessories, or is it a photo editing (on the computer)? How do you do colour isolation?
It's not done with the camera...it's all post-capture work in Photoshop. You use the destaurate function, but you 'mask' out the portions you don't want to be affected by the desaturate. Masks are created by manual drawing or by more sophisticated tools like the selectors or magic wand.
An easier way is to have the color value radiate out from a specified central point. The farther you are from a central point, the more black and white the photo becomes. Not as accurate, but achieves a similar effect...kinda like a blur filter. It's a lot faster to accomplish than trying to trace a mask.
If you are working with a traditional b%26amp;w photograph made in the darkroom, the image is colored in manually by special paints or markers. How do you do colour isolation?
when I have done this in the past I have used photoshop with a combination of the magic wand and polygonal selection tool wo highlight the area that you want in black and white.... and do it that way.
If anyone has an easier way to do this with high quality results- I'd love to hear it.

What do cases of social isolation teach us about the importance of social experience to human beings?
Here is a story that touches on that- i originally saw a biography on this boy on the discovery chanel, but here is a website...

Do i have to fit isolation valves when fitting a new bathroom?
Hi all
I'm fitting a new bathroom, and am replacing all the plumbing from the point of entry to the bathroom to sink, bath and toilet (one floor flat).
I read somewhere that it's now part of building regs that I have to install an isolation valve on every separate unit? ie one on every supply pipe.
Is that true, or can i just fit one isolation valve on each of the feed pipes coming into the bathroom?
What happens if I don't comply with this building regs rule ie. dont fit the extra isolation valves?
Many thanks
MattDo i have to fit isolation valves when fitting a new bathroom?
I think its now generally accepted to be good practice to install isolating valves to each appliance. It certainly makes it easier for testing out each individual appliance as you are in the room when the water is turned on, so if there is a leak you can quickly shut it off. I t is also good from the future maintenance point of view.
As for the building regs part, I think this only applies if you come to sell your property and the new owner/or surveyor picks up that the valves aren't fitted, the building control can make you go back and fit them and bring the property upto current standards.Do i have to fit isolation valves when fitting a new bathroom?
THE CODE IS NOT THE SAME IN ALL STATES BUT IN MOST YES THERE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SHUT OFF VALVES ON EACH FIXTURE. THESE USUALLY GO OUTSIDE THE WALL UNDER THE SINK AND BEHIND THE TOILET. THE TUB/SHOWER USUALLY DOESN'T GET THESE AND ARE NOT REQUIRED UNLESS IT IS FOR MULTI UNIT BUILDINGS AND COME BUILT INTO THE FAUCET FROM THE FACTORY. THESE ARE USUALLY CHROME OR BRASS AND MOST COMMON ARE COMPRESSION TYPE. EVEN IF THERE WERE NOT REQUIRED THEY ARE A GOOD IDEA IN ORDER TO SHUT OFF THE WATER TO ONE FIXTURE INSTEAD OF THE ENTIRE HOUSE IF THERE IS EVER A PROBLEM. ALSO YOU WONT HAVE TO GO LOOKING FOR A VALVE TO CLOSE CAUSE IT IS RIGHT AT THE FIXTURE
It would depend upon your local plumbing code. But assuming that you have a shower/Bath, a sink and toilet, I would strongly recommend that you install a shutoff valve for the toilet water supply, both hot and cold sides for the sink faucet, and if possible, for the shower/Bath supply(Upstream of the main valve). Down the road, it will make O-Ring replacement much simpler.
Good Luck!

What do cases of social isolation teach us about the importance of social experience to human beings?
In the case of little Anna, it showed that social interaction may be the main ingredient of personality. What do cases of social isolation teach us about the importance of social experience to human beings?
The importance of social experience is evident in the lack of human development characteristic of socially isolated children. Specifically, if early childhood is devoid of social experience, the child may fail to develop normal language skills leading to limitations in other social learning. Genie, the young girl who was shut away by her father, is a prime example of what can happen to a human child who is deprived of social contact. Although Genie received intensive training after she was found, she never fully recovered from the effects of the lack of early social experiences. What do cases of social isolation teach us about the importance of social experience to human beings?
it shows that we can't be full functioning human beings without interactions, if we don't learn the language, we won't be able to learn math, science, or any other important education. If we can' tspeak we can't make friends, we can't ask for the kind of food we want. Social experience is how we interact so without it we can't become full functioning members of society

What job will pay decent that will allow me some isolation?
I'm smart, and can learn about anything. I mostly hate the world though. I don't like doing things around people. I don't like people looking at me. And I hate people seriously giving me **** about what I look like. I don't mind being made fun of, I don't mind people criticizing my looks. But I hate people haveing a problem with me because of my appearance. It inspires violence, that I hold back but hate haveing to. I don't even leave where I live much. So what's the best thing for me to go to school for? What job will pay decent that will allow me some isolation?

How do i know when the time is right to put my pregnant mollie in the ';isolation box';?
first i would like to know how i can tell if shes pregnant, shes a mollie and i heard they reproduce fast, she hides alot. so when should i put her in the box so the other fish dont eat the babies? How do i know when the time is right to put my pregnant mollie in the ';isolation box';?
When she looks round and plumish, If she has been with males then yes she is pregnant and they reproduce evry 4-8 weeks, I really dont suggest puting any fish in a breeder/isloation box as it causes MAJOUR stress on the fish, And can and does on some ocasions result in stilll born fry (babies), dead babies and sometimes a dead mother, A mollie is rather large to be put in a breeder box, I only suggest guppies in boxes (well i dont suggest any fish in them.) I suggest you just provide lots of plants (fake or real) and let the babies hide, After all the do reproduce every 1-2 months and you will be over run with babies so just let nature takes its tole and let some babies be eaten.
At the end of the day its up to you if you put the fish in the breeder but put your self in the fishes position, Pregnancy is allready difficult, Never mind puting them in a small 3 x 6in box,

I don't bother with such nonsense. My mollies live and thrive and breed in massive numbers in my planted 55g tank. I'm sure a few fry get eaten but thats life. The weak, deformed and stupid ones turn into snacks, the healthy, fast, smart ones stay alive.cosmetics makeup

What do you think is the reason for the cultural isolation of Irish travellers and Romany gypsies?
One possibility could be that they consider themselves to be 'not part' of the people they travel among and keep their own council which attitude will invariably alienate them from the most part of their fellow man.Travellers have been distrusted ever since man first began to settle as they were once a serious threat to life and foodstocks and in many places around the world bands of wanderers still are a great danger to settlements and travelling individuals. As people who live in settled communities shun the travellers so the travelling folk keep their own beliefs and culture wrapped around tightly,a form of uniform and badge. What do you think is the reason for the cultural isolation of Irish travellers and Romany gypsies?
They are very private people and that's the way they like it. Because of that people that don't know or understand mistrust them and make up horrible stories about them. The real Irish Travellers and Romany Gypsies are very honest and clean its the New age travellers and the like that give them a bad nameWhat do you think is the reason for the cultural isolation of Irish travellers and Romany gypsies?
My mom is Romani. Honestly, people discriminate against us. We don't know why. We haven't done anything to deserve being treated the way we do. We get denied citizenship, rights of the countries we live in and mention you are a gypsy, you're branded for life. It'd be like walking around screaming ';I'm a Jew!'; to German soldiers during the Holocaust. We don't want to deal with outsiders because of the Europeans, whom we've lived around for over a thousand years, have a problem with us. We don't want to deal with the problem of being denied basic human rights over and over so we keep to ourselves. My dad is Greek and I'm the only ';half-Romani'; in a family of over 200 and I've never met another half Romani and that's saying something. My Greek family, they can't stand me. I don't know why. I'm not a barbarian. For example, an estimated number of no less than 200,000 Romani people were killed during the Holocaust (some estimate as high as 800,000) by the Germans but Holocaust memorial groups won't recognize us or give us any recognition for what our people went through. We just don't count, it seems. It's not so much that we want to be isolated. It's just that we have to. Romani people get killed for being Romani everyday and no one investigates or gets charged in the murders because deep down, the cops, the judges and the majority population in general think ';good riddance.'; They just had an Anti-Romani march in Czech Republic a few months ago.
Because they want it that way..they have been taught over the years to stay amongst themselves as much as possible so the habit 'sticks' /gets passed down

What companies manufacture class I-division I fire rated isolation valves?
Class I Division I implies that it is in an environment that frequently has combustible material in the vicinity. If you are aware of any companies that manufacture such valves, I will call them up and do the rest of the legwork to see if they can fulfill our needs. What companies manufacture class I-division I fire rated isolation valves?
To answer the question better depends on what type of valve is required.
A few manufacturers that come to mind are, DeZurik, Apollo, Fisher (Emerson process), Flowserve and Asco. What companies manufacture class I-division I fire rated isolation valves?
You seem to be asking about NEC Class 1 Div 1. If so, are you asking about the devices that control the valve or the sealing portion of the valve?
The type of valve does matter because control valve manufacturers like Fisher can produce valves that are complete and can meet Class 1 Div 1 requirements. Some other valve manufacturers do not make valves complete with actuators or other controls. These features are added by others.
Control valves such as Fisher are not fire rated.
The use of Class 1 Div 1 to address the fluid containing ability of any valve simply isn't done. You can get valves that meet API and other ratings similar to the ball valves at the site below.

How did the isolation policy displayed by the U.S. at WW2 help it 2 start?
And how did it prove that the allies could've done more to stop hitler? thank u, please no balanced arguements. How did the isolation policy displayed by the U.S. at WW2 help it 2 start?
You should focus on when the US got involved with WW2 (1940) versus what was going on in Europe and Asia prior to that.
What effect, if any, the US' earlier entrance into WW2 would have had is hard to say...that quickly starts getting into the realm of speculative fiction.

Can anyone explain me the procedures involved in isolation of proteins?
please explain me about the column chromatography (that is involved right?) and the function of SDS gel.Can anyone explain me the procedures involved in isolation of proteins?
Proteins can be purified by size or by charge. Gel filtration chromatography on Sulfadex columns separates proteins by size. Ion exchange chromatography on DEAE- or CM-Sulfadex columns separates proteins by their charges. HPLC can also be used. SDS gel electrophoresis is not a separation method because SDS denatures proteins, and is used to check the purity of the final product. Can anyone explain me the procedures involved in isolation of proteins?
Column chromatography *can* be used to isolate proteins, as can SDS PAGE (polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis). These are both forms of chromatography.
Reverse-phase HPLC (High-pressure liquid chromatography) is a method of purifying proteins from a mixture of proteins (and possibly other substances) by their hydrophobicity. The principle is to use a column of packed beads which are hydrophobic in character. You dissolve your protein mixture in an aqueous solution (called the ';immobile phase) and pass it through the column. The proteins will stick to your column, as most proteins are quite hydrophobic.
You then gradually increase the amount of an organic solvent (like acetonitrile) you pass over the column (for example, maybe increasing from 0% to 100% over 1 hour 40 minutes). The different proteins will have different hydrophobic characters: in general, the longer a protein, the more hydrophobic, and the more hydrophobic amino acids it has in it, the more hydrophobic it is. As the percentage of organic solvent (called the ';mobile phase';) increases you will gradually reach a concentration which will start to remove the proteins from the column one at a time - the least hydrophobic will come off first, and the most hydrophobic will come off last.
At the end of the column, you have a detector, which will detect when proteins are coming off by UV absorbance (all proteins absorb UV at a wavelength of 230nm), so you can collect individual fractions which will hopefully contain only one protein.
After this, you can determine which proteins are in each fraction by other methods (like immuonoblotting, or mass spectrometry), and you will then (hopefully) have a pure sample of your protein-of-interest.
There are other methods of column chromatography - like size-exclusion columns, where the largest proteins come through fastest, and the smallest last.
Another refinement uses antibodies against your protein-of-interest, immobilised in the column. You pass your mixture over the column, and only your protein will stick to the antibodies. After running everything through, you wash with a concentrated salt solution, which removes your protein and provides you with a purified sample.
SDS PAGE is another method of separating proteins from a mixture by their size. You dissolve your proteins in a solution containing sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) - a detergent which gives the proteins a net negative charge. You then load your mixture into a well at one end of a gel of polyacrylamide.
A current is applied to the gel, so the charged proteins will migrate through the gel; the largest proteins move slowest (as they take longest to pass through the pores in the gel), and the smallest move fastest.
You will usually include a charged dye, which will migrate with the fastest proteins, and when this dye has reached the end of the gel, you stop the current and stain the gel with a protein-detecting stain (like coomassie blue) to show up where all the protein bands are. By comparing with a lane in the gel that contained a set of known-mass standards, you can estimate what weight each of the bands are.
SDS PAGE is not usually used to actually *purify* proteins, but to determine what is in each mixture, as the amounts loaded are usually rather small.
A similar method is used for isolating DNA from a mixture of different-length DNA strands.
A different method, called isoelectric focussing, involves not adding the SDS, loading your samples in the *middle*, and applying an alternating current to the gel (running first one way, then the other). This has the effect of concentrating each protein at a specific location, dependent on its *charge*, rather than its weight.cosmetics makeup

This has the effect of concentrating each protein at a specific location, dependent on its *charge*, rather than its weight.
Your help would be ohhh soo appreciated! Thanks!Which Colony Isolation Method should be used on Liquid Culture?
I THINK YOUR ANSWER IS ON HERE! GOOD LUCK!
