What are some good ways for a defensive tackle[in a 4-4 scheme] to defend against Isolation/Counter plays?

well i help coach middle school and we run a 4-4 defense and i coach all the linemen. I would say if its a isolation play the middle linebackers have to help out with that lead blocker on the isolation plays. On the counter they just have to learn to stay in there zones on counter plays and defend. plain and simply put. look for some drills online to teach it.
