I've never heard of aseptic bacteriologic technique before.. but I have heard of aseptic technique and I use it.





It is very important to have aseptic technique because it ensures that you don't contaminate the culture. If you don't use aseptic technique, your risk of contamination is high.





Aseptic techiques when doing an experiment in an biological hood is making sure all of your working surfaces are wiped clean with alcohol and diluted bleach solution before starting the experiment. Be sure to put all the the instruments and equipment in the hood before hand and maker sure they are sterilized before going in there. You may need a bunsen burner to sterilze your equipment. Make sure you open your packages inside the hood.





When using pipets, make sure you don't touch the tip to any thing that would make it not sterile.
