What are the long term effects of isolation?

i never talk about my problems. i never really talk about anything personal. i barely talk to my family even though i live with them. i am not a teenager. When i was younger i had a lot of problems and became suicial but no one noticed. if you read my posting on the internet you would know more about me than anyone else. Just wondering what are the long term effects? What are the long term effects of isolation?
If you think that you are isolated and isolation is bad for you, it seems to me that you should then become less isolated. People are socially inclined for all sorts of reasons, and its accepted that no man nor woman is an island, to quote an old adage, so, if you are isolated and your family is no help to you , then just break out ot this environment and seek out people and places more amenable to you as a person. Your life is your own responsibility and how you choose to live it is up to you. If you choose isolation that is your choice. If not, then look for something different but don't blame others, accept responsibility for your own actions. What are the long term effects of isolation?
social outcast and trust issues
You MUST talk about your problems. If you can't talk to friends or family talk to a Doctor. The Doctor will be able to offer you an appropriate treatment or refer you to a Specialist. Perhaps there is a Support group near where you live. You will find that you are not alone and that in itself may help a little.

You HAVE to talk to someone. If you bottle it up and repress it you may reach breaking point and someone could get hurt. Perhaps yourself. Perhaps someone else.

Please look after yourself and keep safe.
Well, Isolation has some effects. Self confinement can cause depression, Suicidal Thoughts, Social Problems, Mental Problems, And may even result in panic attacks, Withdrawl, Or break-downs. Atleast... From my experience. Try to make some freinds, Talk to people about stuff, Or maybe talk to that girl you Have been eyeing in math class. Even if you get nervous and crack up, It's better than having been that kid in the back that does not talk to anyone. Here are some tips for starting casual conversation: Say you notice that someone you know is wearing a band shirt, Sticker, Or a certain type of apparel that you have a connection with, Casually say ';Hey, You like NoFx? (band)'; Then talk about stuff your interested, Dont forget to let them talk too :)
suicide and depression
You are actually killing yourself slowly. I am kinda doing this to myself now and need to bring myself out of it. The longer you do this to yourself the worse it will get. I too had a lot of problems and were suicidal and actually still can be because I have yet to pull myself out, though I have before just let myself fall back. When you hold things inside your causing yourself anxiety. Your putting a lot of stress on your mind and body. You can cause yourself to form ulcers in your stomach, then that causing you poor eating habits. Where can I read this that you speak of. Also where are you from, if you don't mind me asking? Also if you ever just need someone to chat with you can e-mail me, I love new friends. But back to you...Also if you do not discuss your problems they will never get better or fixed and you'll never be mentally stable. Holding things in does not only effect you, you do realize that right? When I am down or things are effecting me and I don't address them it causes problems between me and my lover, and vise verse. Its not healthy to isolate yourself I don't know what all the effects are but I know it can't be good. My great grandmother basically killed herself like that by holding things in and not talking about them when her youngest daughter died who had been fighting cancer from 1985-1996. I don't really know what else to say right now because I don't know anything about you. I hope things get better for you. Get out and make some friends you can confine in.
