Isolation is not a good thing for people. Is isolating the Military personel by keeping them off of these boards a means of isolation?
Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. are blocked on ALL DoD computers and networks...if that's what you're meaning. Clarify your question please. Is isolating the Military personel by keeping them off of these boards a means of isolation?
If it's happening is most likely that the reason is to saves lives. A few pieces of the wrong information posted here could lead to a lot of problems in country.
The soldiers are provided with ways to contact family that are direct and pose little or no danger of accidentally passing sensitive information to a enemy.
OK, let's try this:
First of all, if something or someone is being isolated, then by default it is a means of isolation.
Second, what are you talking about? I am a soldier, and there are PLENTY of other troopers and service members on these boards, just look around.
Third, isolation, in and of itself, is not necessarily a good or bad thing. The nature of isolation must be judged by the specifics regarding said isolation (just like that majority of things in this world, everything must be judged on its own merits.)
If by isolating you mean isolating then yes, isolation is isolation.
They still have their bunk mate...ah sweet bunk mate.
I missed who was keeping them off the boards?
I dont think they worry about the soldier passing info - the congress just tells the NY Times who tells the enemy
';The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so.';
- Ronald Reagan
What boards are you referring to?
troops aren't blocked by DOD to Yahoo.com. heck in off duty hours they chat with home all the time.
Where did you get this from?
USAF SNCO
What do you mean?
Is Yahoo keeping them off, or is the DoD blocking this I.P. address?
Please elaborate.
