What is the difference between extinction and reproductive isolation?

What is the difference between extinction and reproductive isolation? What is the difference between extinction and reproductive isolation?
extinction is when there is no individuals of a certain species left at all to reproduce and continue existing

reproductive isolation means that when a group of individuals from one species become seperated from the main group so that they no longer reproduce with them, thus seperating their genes, and eventually, a new species can evolve. What is the difference between extinction and reproductive isolation?
ya i agree with thirteen's answer regard the extinction.about reproductive isolation i have something to add to.

reproductive isolation happened because for maybe the exist of geographical barrier causes two species to separate. but when they have chance to come together although genetically they may have not change but because being separate they develop adaptation. so there is also reproductive barrier that cause them unable to mate. this reproductive barrier maybe

1.have different structural of reproductive organ

2.different habitat cause them cant meet and mate,

3.different season of mating,

4.different season of maturing,

5. different way attract different gender.

6, sperm and egg can fertilized or

7.sperm can fertilized egg but the egg cant develop,

8.robust individual is born or

9. 1st generation is healthy but can reproduce .

all this barrier cause they cant reproduce together we known reproductive isolation. reproductive isolation cause not exchange of genetic content then cause genetic isolation the cause the formation of new species that we called as speciation.
