I would like to buy a gift for a friend who is in isolation at the moment following a bone marrow transplant. It cannot be anything that might cause an infection, such as fabric or flowers. Anything that can be wiped with an antibacterial is fine. Particularly keen to hear from anyone with personal experience.Isolation?
crystal cubes with the laser etching inside would be perfect. A guardian angel would be very sweet. Check the link below the prices seem very reasonable!!Isolation?
How about an Ipod? You can download songs that are soothing
a book and a personal note or card does wonders.
A small computerised game that can be dumped later
When I was in isolation, I always loved getting balloons. I couldn't have flowers, but they did allow me to have balloons. It really brightened up my room.
I remember those gifts...I had a BMT not long ago too and trust me it's nice getting gifts from ';the outside world'; as I call it. I think there are different restrictions on the gifts and what not but anything that is wrapped and new should be fine. Meaning from the store not from your own personal wrapping paper and what not.
